Chloe and Lukas

This couple’s session in Dallas, TX felt straight out of a Hallmark movie set! When Chloe and Lukas requested cinematic, cozy Christmas photos, I knew just the spot we needed to go! We had such a fun flash photography session where they got to be playful with one another, running around downtown Cedar Hill. We even shot outside a coffee shop which created a more intimate and cozy feel from the location. I loved coming up with questions for Chloe and Lukas to ask one another in addition to prompts to get them moving so that they were interacting with each other and enjoying themselves throughout the whole process. I am a firm believer that clients shouldn’t just love the outcome of their photos- they should enjoy the process so that they always have a great memory associated with their photos. We were definitely able to accomplish that with this shoot that had us all laughing most of the time, and I am proud that the photos reflect that experience and both of their fun personalities are able to shine through in this Christmas wonderland setting. I decided to plan this shoot at night and shoot with flash for the entirety of it to create a more romantic environment at night with all of the Christmas lights. I also added grain to many of the photos for create a look that resembles the look of film. I love when clients fully trust my creativity and lean into my vision, and that was exactly the case with Chloe and Lukas. They were along to try all my creative ideas and were the most easygoing, enjoyable couple to work with! This Christmas shoot was a dream and I am already dreaming of the next one!!
