I recently photographed Honey by Kait’s “Home for the Holidays” studio campaign that was inspired by the cozy feeling of coming home to California for Christmas. Instead of traditional bright studio lighting, we created a soft, warm, natural look to match the brand’s relaxed, coastal feel. The shoot was executed by an all women team and it made for such a fun creative atmosphere— here’s the BTS!

We did a combination of subtle holiday shots with models holding wrapped gifts with neutral, non-themed shots that can be used year-round. The goal was to keep things simple to allow the jewelry to shine in an authentic, natural way. Honey by Kait’s pieces are crafted with the highest quality in 14k gold vermeil, and made with a thick layer of genuine 14k gold bonded to a 925 sterling silver base. We wanted to quality of the photos to be reflected visually in the quality of the photos., and were able to accomplish this through pairing the jewelry’s warm glow with the cozy lighting and soft styling. This shoot blended seasonal charm with timeless versatility, giving the brand images they can use long after the holidays.
